China. In 1993, Pakistan started technical and financial feasibilities for the development of Gwadar port. The Gwadar port project started on 22 March 2002 and the Port of Singapore Authority was hired for its management.

The deep-sea Gwadar Port became operational in 2008 when a ship carrying 52000 tonnes of wheat from Canada anchored at the port.

yes it is a new port established with the assistantace of China it has an advantage of being deep sea and open sea that is no boundries
